Take Wing has just come out, it's a series of poems about my mother-in-law's cancer, and eventual death. It also reflects on the way my wife and children dealt with it. I will be reading from it at the Norwich Bookstore March 25th.
My Publication Celebration of Black Ice, newly out from Turning Point Press, will be Oct. 18th, from 6-7, at the Horticulture Center of Cabrillo College's Aptos Campus. Refreshments and books available!
I'm reading at Watsonville public library on Nov. 13th with Brian Turner as part of the "War Comes Home" literary project. Brian will be reading on his own the following night.
I'll be reading at the English bookstore Bookworm, in Beijing, on March 17th, with three other poets.
Brian Turner and I will be reading our poetry on February 26th, from 7-9, in San Jose, as part of Silicon Valley Reads, hope you can make it to the Harker School that night! (It's listed on page 3 of the brochure available online.)
I'm also reading with Brian on Feb. 22nd in Huntington Beach if you're free. I'm indebted to him for helping me believe in my Iraq poetry book project which turned into "Every Seed of the Pomegranate." Here's a photo of Brian.
